What did you do before cycling – Fishing
How did you get into cycling – I was given a 'Raleigh Record' race bike for xmas. I was about 13 and went everywhere on it.
How long have you been riding - About 25 years but only 8 at club level. I only started racing though in 2007.
What’s your biggest achievement that you are most proud of – A solo unsupported ride from John O Groats to Lands end in 2004
What’s your most embarrassing moment – I once told the grandmother of an old girlfriend that she looked hot. The girlfriend was Spanish and my Spanish was a bit woolly at the time. I was trying to say 'It is Hot'
What do you do when not riding your bike – Thinking about the next ride.
What’s your life’s ambition on the bike – To win the Tour de France. (whose isn't)
Do you have a coach?? How do you plan your riding - No coach but I have quite a complex training diary and closely monitor every heart beat.
Whose your cycling hero and why – Lance Armstrong. He was so inspiring. Graeme Obree for his Hour Record.
Your favourite holiday location – Fuerteventura
